Tony Amato Soccer Camps
Residential ID Camp
Is this the right camp for us?
The Residential ID Camp is a girls-only weekend camp for players who are in or are entering high school this fall. Junior College student-athletes are also welcome. This is a competitive environment offering simulated college training sessions and the opportunity to experience the UA campus. Goalkeepers will also have specialized training sessions for technical work and will rejoin for matches each evening. This camp extends beyond the field; possible topics to be covered are a sports psychology workshop, speed and agility training, parent and player Q&A session with coaches and college athletes, indoor futsal tournament, and a small-sided outdoor competition. This is an environment where teams and individuals will benefit and improve.
How much does it cost?
The cost is $225.00. All sessions include superior training from members of the UA Staff and current UA players, incredible facilities, and camp T-shirt. Also included are all meals, housing on campus at the dorms, and complimentary airport service. There is a camp store available during down times where money can be placed in a secure camp bank at your discretion. The housing department offers a $15 linen rental rate if you're interested in not packing those items. (Includes towels, washcloth, bed sheets and blankets)

Residents will receive an All-Aboard meal card at the time of Check-In. This card is good at all on-campus food eateries. A variety of campus eateries will be open at The University of Arizona's Student Union between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Your card will have approximately the following amounts on it per meal per day: Breakfast $5.00, Lunch $6.50, and Dinner $8.50. There will be a camp store nightly, located in the dorms where the campers can buy pizza, snacks, drinks and UA soccer merchandise. In order to purchase items at the camp store, the campers will need their own individual money.
How does my daughter get from the airport to campus?
The Camp will provide complimentary transport from Tucson International Airport to The University of Arizona campus (less than 10 miles away). Once you have received your confirmation letter via email, please email email@example.com with your flight information in order to take advantage of the free shuttle service. We do reserve the right to deny transport if flight information is not provided 5 days before the start of camp. Please do not rely on someone else to give us your daughter’s flight information.
What do I need to bring?
Although it’s a quick weekend, it helps to be prepared. Here are some guidelines for the essentials:
Indoor Shoes or Sneakers
Backpack or sports bag - to keep your personal items in. Please keep track of this, we are not responsible for lost or stolen items
Shampoo / soap
The camp will be supervised by a First Aid Responder at all times. The FAR’s role is to facilitate aid for minor injuries; for anything serious a hospital is only blocks away.
NOTE: A completed Medical Waiver must be completed prior to the start of participation.
How do you handle the desert heat?
During the most brutal part of the day, the hot afternoon, we’ll be indoors or on a campus tour. Please rest-assured the Camp has taken every precaution necessary to alleviate any heat issues. We will have a full-time trainer at the fields. The stadium is equipped with two air-conditioned rooms that are available anytime. A tent will be set-up on field for shade and campers will be repeatedly encouraged to apply sunscreen. Water breaks will be very frequent (every 10-15 min or more if necessary). Snacks can be brought from home or purchased from the Camp Store located at the field and in the dorm.
Can parents come and watch?
Parents are allowed and encouraged to watch camp. Sunday morning is the most conducive environment to watch our Tournament games. Those games will precede the Q&A Session for players and parents at 11:30 on Sunday.
Can I come to camp as a commuter?
Local Tucsonans are always welcome! If you prefer to stay at home, we will accommodate the schedule to fit specific commuter drop-off and pick-up times. The discounted rate for a commuter is $185.00 which includes all meals. During online registration use the coupon code "COMMUTER" to recieve this discount.
